Getting Started 1-Sheet Template

When launching Honey at your company, it can be helpful to share a simple getting started resource with your team. We suggest a single sheet email attachment or physical print out. The latter works wonderfully if you leave a copy at each of your employees' desks on launch day! 

Our customer success team has written the getting started 1-sheet template below — it's a simple way to help your team members get set up with their accounts. At the bottom of this article, you'll find a downloadable .doc that also includes this information. Save it to your computer and edit to best fit your needs.  


Welcome to Honey! To get started with your account, simply follow these easy steps. 

Sign up for Honey.

  1. Find the Honey invite in your email inbox. Click the link to accept the invite.
  2. Create a new account using your work email address.
  3. Follow the steps to set up your account — easy as that!

Fill out your profile.

  1. Click the dropdown arrow at the top of your left hand navigation menu.
  2. Select View Profile from the dropdown menu.
  3. On your profile page, use the edit buttons to add a profile photo, bio, and more.

Join some groups.

  1. Click All next to Groups in your left hand navigation menu.
  2. Scroll through the groups index and click the Join button on those you'd like to join.

    NOTE: You'll only receive in-feed and email notifications from the groups you join, so be sure to join all that are important and interesting to you.

Choose your email notifications.

  1. Click the dropdown arrow at the top of your left hand navigation menu.
  2. Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Notifications in the page header and use the toggles and dropdowns to choose how often you'd like to receive activity and new post email notifications.

    NOTE: If you choose to receive daily or weekly email notifications for more than one group, Honey will wrap them all into a single email. Goodbye inbox clutter!
