How do I post highlighted code snippets on Honey?

To share highlighted code snippets on Honey, use the code tool on our post form. Here's how:

Composing Code in Your Post

  • Create a new post by clicking the orange new post button in the bottom, right-hand corner of your screen.
  • Give your post a title and choose the group(s) in which you'd like to post.
  • Then, click the code button in the formatting tool bar. It looks like this "<>"
  • In the grey box that appears, type your code

Adding Additional Content

If you'd like to add additional content — like text, files, images, etc — to your post. Click the grey down arrow button to the right of your code block. Then add your additional content.

Publish Your Post
When you're finished composing your post, click the blue publish button in the bottom right-hand corner of your post.

Once published, you'll see that your code block formats and highlights appropriate depending on which code language you've worked in.
