They sure can! Private groups area a great way to share with project teams, working groups, or even a private group for yourself to keep track of notes and bookmarks.
Private groups are invite only. Only those explicitly invited will see a private group's posts in their feeds and group listing on the group directory page.
To create a private group...
- In your left hand navigation menu, click All — located about halfway down next to My Groups.
- Once on the group directory page, click the Create Group button in the top right corner of the page.
- On the Create Group pop up, give your group a name and click the Private option, marked with a lock icon.
- Then, click the Create button to create your new group!
Once created, find your group in the group directory and click into the group page. From this page you can invite members, edit settings, and more.
