How do I share files on Honey?

You can share images of many different file types on Honey. We support in-post images, as well as images in your comments, so you can share plenty of cat pictures and dog gifs!

Share an image via file upload.

  • Click the orange post button to open the post composition form.

  • Click the paperclip icon at the top of the page and select Upload from the dropdown.

  • Choose the image that you'd like to share. You'll see it appear at the bottom of your post form as a file upload.

  • Add any additional text, files, or links that you'd like to include in your post

  • Publish! Once published, your image will appear in full at the bottom of your post, along with a button that allows viewers to download it.

Note: Images shared via file upload do not appear in-line as your post, as our post form floats all attached files at the bottom of the post. To post an image in-line, use the steps below to share your image via URL.

Share an image via URL.

  • Click the orange post button to open the post composition form.

  • Click your curser into the place where you'd like your image to appear.

  • Click the "GIF" image icon in the middle of the page and select the "Image URL" tab.

  • Paste the image URL into the URL text box — your URL must end in an image file extension (ex: .png, .jpg, .gif) — and click the insert button. You'll see your image appear in your post body.

  • Publish!
