How do I attach a file to a post?

We've made it easy to share files on Honey no matter where your file is stored. We'll also do our best to embed a file preview right in your Honey post so that your post's viewers can see your filed without having to download it to their own computer.  To attach a file to your post, you have a number of options to choose from.

Share a file from your computer.

To share a file that's saved on your computer...

  • Click the paperclip icon in the formatting tool bar at the top of your post compose form.
  • Select "Upload" from the dropdown options.
  • This will open a file picker — find and select your file.
  • You'll see that your file will attach to your post.
  • Finish your post and publish! Once your post is published, we'll show the file as a full file preview embed.

To share an image from a cloud service...

  • Click the paperclip icon in the formatting tool bar at the top of your post compose form.
  • Select the cloud service of your choice from the dropdown options.
  • This will open a file picker — find and select your file.
  • You'll see your image will upload to your post form.
  • Finish your post and publish!

NOTE: Sharing files from a cloud services sometimes limits our ability to embed your file in your Honey post because of limits set but the cloud service. Currently, the only cloud service that permits us to embed your file within Honey is Google Drive. If you're using Box, Dropbox, or One Drive we will attach a link to your file, but will not embed the file preview.
