Understanding user types.

Honey offers three types of users so that you can best manage your users and content while also keeping your high-level settings safe and secure.

Administrators: oversee the entire organization. This means that they have access to the following information...

  • Admin pages.

  • Group settings.

  • Resource settings.

  • Integration settings.

  • Invitation settings.

  • Branding settings.

  • Analytics dashboard.

  • In-feed and on-post analytics (the eyeball counter).

  • Poll results set as Results are Private.

    Admins can do the following...

  • Edit and delete all posts and comments.

  • Grant admin and moderator privileges.

  • Share announcements posts.

  • Remove users from Honey.

Moderators: oversee a specific group. This means they have access to...

  • The group settings for the group in which they have moderator privileges.

  • In-feed and on-post analytics—the eyeball counter—in the group in which they have moderator privileges.

Moderators can...

  • Edit and delete all posts and comments in the group in which they have moderator privileges.

  • Grant moderator privileges in the group in which they have moderator privileges.

Users: have no special privileges on Honey. This means they do not have access to the following information...

  • Settings menus of any type.

  • Analytics of any type.

Users can...

  • Edit and delete their own posts and comments.
